Artist Info

Wendy Nouse (b. 1990, Maastricht, Netherlands) is a multidisciplinary artist working across conceptual research, performance, installation, and abstract painting. Her practice operates at the intersection of social, philosophical, and spiritual inquiry. Operating from her studio in France, her canvases map internal geographies, spiritual transit, and raw psychological research through an intuitive exploration of human connection and emotional alchemy. Working fluidly with oil, charcoal, plaster, and rich pigment, her tactile compositions capture personal transformation, emotional weight, and sacred presence.

Experience societal dissonance's raw, emotional depth through our exclusive collection of abstract paintings on paper. "Fragmented" delves into the concept of our identities being shattered and dispersed, akin to broken mirror fragments that reflect society's relentless expectations and demands.

Each piece in the "Fragmented" series visually explores the fragmented self. Inspired by the pressures and constraints of modern society, these artworks capture the essence of human existence as societal expectations splinter it. The bold strokes and intricate patterns symbolize the scattered pieces of our identities mirrored in the relentless pursuit of conformity and acceptance.

A mixture of gauche and acrylic paint to bring this concept to life on high-quality paper of 65*50 cm (Beaux-Arts size).  A dynamic interplay of textures and colours. This results in a powerful visual representation of fragmentation, where each painting offers a unique glimpse into the shattered reflections of our inner selves.

These abstract paintings go beyond mere aesthetics; they are a dialogue between the artist and the viewer, inviting introspection and connection. By incorporating elements of fragmentation and reflection, each piece challenges you to confront your experiences with societal pressures and the multifaceted nature of identity.

Embrace the beauty of brokenness with "Fragmented" and discover the profound stories told through each fragmented piece of art.
