Athens is one of the most exciting cities I have seen so far, and already I am excited to go back to see how it is when Covid-19 quarantine is no longer the order of the day.
The food, the art, the people, and the city itself is fantastic. It feels very young and fresh, a bit like Berlin, but in a baby phase. In the recovery of a mourning period, that you can feel and see in the streets with hopes of a better tomorrow.
Athene makes you feel like the world is open of opportunities, and the geographical location makes it even more amazing.
Only 20 minutes to go to the beach in the city centre. Acropolis and Plaka that function as the headquarters of the city, and the lively neighbourhoods around it makes it perfect for young families, and students. Athens offers everything for everyone, its diversity is inspiring, and the prices make it very affordable to be there.
Even though when everything closed down and the food was only for pick up. It forced us (my boyfriend and I) to move on the streets, searching for right spots to eat, and beautiful places to find. I guess we have seen therefor some of the most impressive arts in the region and I am genuinely excited to see what the city has to offer in its pure form.
Have you ever been to Athens, what is your favourite memory?
