So this has been a particular surprise, in fact, it holds multiple museums within the same museum. Like the aquarium, which we didn’t visit and the museum of immigration. Immigration is something that interests me greatly in my art practice and it was wonderful to see the histories of nowadays famous French but used to be immigrants in the past. The stories and the objects that they brought with them or invented during their lives. So then there was the second part of the exposition, which completely blew my mind. The infusion of the shakers, pop and the ’60s in America was amazing and how it immigrated and influenced Europe in its art and culture. The curator who made it is one of my favourites and chooses always such inspiring artists and works. Even though when the selection is overwhelming, the structure of the presentation is truly amazing, you can clearly experience and observe all the effort that has been put in place.
