Creativity Inc is the book I read during our travels in America. Because we are European, we didn’t have access to the internet connection on our phones. Even in the hotels, the connection was not that great and I needed passionately a way to read some books.

I have the habit of listening to podcasts or YouTube lectures. Because I like the fact that people tell me profound content information instead of slight highlights. Because I am a dyslectic, I prefer people sharing their knowledge in different ways than in text.

Backpacking through the country was amazing. But I missed my time to educate myself with well-thought words. The goal was to pack as light as possible. Therefore we decided to not take any computers or books with us. One morning at the pool I stumbled on audible. Audible is a service for audiobooks. It offers a subscription of 10 euros a month allowing you to buy a book for free!

Ever since I am truly hooked On Creativity, Inc & Audible.

Creativity Inc. review - Nurture the talent
Check out the shop https://wendynouse.com/category/portfolio-wendy-nouse/

The title nurturing the talent is chosen because of the book I am actually reading Creativity Inc. Written by Ed Catmull, the president of Pixar Animation and Disney Animation.  The book talks about the failures and winnings. How to encounter problems. Their careers within Pixar and Disney. The thing that inspires me the most is that the book feels so openly written. They are honest about the mistakes and winnings they have booked.

I think this book is definitely an inspiration to read for everyone. Especially who has or wants to start a business. For creatives to learn to give themselves some slack when things do go wrong. Also, to realise it might be right for something else in the bigger picture. I hope it motivates you to pick up this book and to let you be inspired.
