Ceramics, wood, spray, 2016
I love this picture, I think it is one of my personal favourites. I love how the organic movements are formed inside of the tree, with the cutting blade still present. The mushrooms keep growing over the silver lining, the glazing on the small ceramic stones and the big chunk of ceramic plate that broke off during the baking process. The traces of the the floor telling their history.
All of these elements make one beautiful poetic story, on their own it would be simple elements. I love that about photography. It is not about the selfie, nor just capturing the moment, it is telling and provoking a story that you want to know more of.
