Je recherche…
The first lockdown in the spring of 2020 has had a major impact on our reality for me like many other French people.

By being trapped in our homes for months and limited in our freedom of movement, we have been confronted with issues of satisfaction and necessity for our existence. This resulted in extreme self-reflection and awareness, that freedom of movement is special and we feel forced to respond to it.

During the second lockdown in autumn 2020, the situation changed significantly. We have found ourselves in this, but the stability for our desired environment is still not there.

My work responds to these aspects and the daily confrontations. Everyone is looking for something and does this mainly through social media. To bring this back to the street scene, I made use of posters, which are spread in my free exercise environment of 1 km around my house.

Le premier lock-out au printemps 2020 a eu un impact majeur sur notre réalité pour moi comme beaucoup d’autres Français.

En étant piégés dans nos maisons pendant des mois et limités dans notre liberté de mouvement, nous avons été confrontés à des questions sur la satisfaction et la nécessité de notre existence. Cela a abouti à une réflexion et une prise de conscience extrêmes, que la liberté de mouvement est spéciale et nous nous sentons obligés d’y répondre.

Lors du deuxième verrouillage à l’automne 2020, la situation a considérablement changé. Nous nous sommes retrouvés là-dedans, mais la stabilité de l’environnement souhaité n’est toujours pas là.

Mon travail répond à ces aspects et aux confrontations quotidiennes. Tout le monde cherche quelque chose et le fait principalement via les médias sociaux. Pour ramener cela à la scène de rue, j’ai utilisé des affiches, qui sont réparties dans mon environnement d’exercice libre de 1 km autour de ma maison.

De eerste lockdown in de lente van 2020 heeft voor mij als vele andere Fransen grote impact gehad op onze realiteit. 

Door maandenlang opgesloten te zitten in onze huizen en beperkt in onze bewegingsvrijheid zijn we geconfronteerd geworden met vraagstukken over de tevredenheid en de noodzakelijkheid van ons bestaan. Dat resulteerde in een extreme zelfreflectie en bewustwording, dat bewegingsvrijheid bijzonder i en voelen we ons geforceerd om hierop te reageren. 

Tijdens de tweede lockdown in de herfst van 2020 is de situatie aanzienlijk veranderd. We hebben onszelf hierin gevonden maar de stabiliteit voor onze gewenste omgeving is er nog steeds niet. 

Mijn werkt speelt in op deze aspecten en de dagelijkse confrontaties. Iedereen is op zoek naar iets en doet dit voornamelijk via social media. Om dit terug te brengen naar het straatbeeld, heb ik het gebruik gemaakt van affiches, die zijn verspreid in mijn vrije beweegomgeving van 1 km rondom mijn woning.
