Exhibition at La Terrasse Paris 11. During the RATP strikes in December 2019 I exhibited here : Only sheep look for food and water’.

Exhibition at La Terrasse Paris 11 is really nice. The people that work in the restaurant are super friendly and the food looks amazing! I have been very lucky and I feel honoured to work with them.
It was my first solo exhibition at La Terrasse Paris 11
It was my first solo exhibition and I was really excited about it. For creating an exhibition I like to read to find a base for my idea.
Therefore I was reading my favourite book on the bus. When I read this phrase:
This phrase, in particular, symbolises for me different aspects.
For example; in my language. The sheep are a synonym for the people that are just following the herd. In short, without asking questions. Nor challenging themselves to see more in life than their daily occupation. Which is today mostly based on insecurity and jealousy?
In that same vein, to search for food and water. Describes that a need to survive. That actually has been changed in a need to just exist. Today we have the luxury to feed ourselves with so much more. Such as enlightenment and culture. The basics of life seem less important to search for. I believe that therefore we occupy ourselves with the chit chat of envy.
In contrary to our conditioned decision making with is strangely enough still in survival mood. Before taking action. We think and advice like as if everything will fall away. Likewise to a dangerous situation. If you move too much from the path that is existing directly in front of you.

During this exhibition, I presented only works that come from a personal base. Sharing my conflictions with society and struggles to just accept.
In conclusion, my drawings, paintings and collages talk in various ways about these subjects. In reflection to the restaurant where you go to, in order to feed yourself. You get the dessert for free.
